A newly published horizon scan entitled “Emerging Priorities in Terrestrial Herbivory Research in the Arctic” outlines the top scientific and management questions facing Arctic herbivory studies in the coming decade. Led by Isabel C. Barrio and a team of 79 co-authors from 18 countries, this research effort represents an extraordinary example of international cooperation. We have identified 16 research priorities, ranging from researching ecological processes to setting new monitoring methods—all essential for understanding how herbivores shape and are shaped by a rapidly changing Arctic.
