We had the pleasure of delivering a talk on the role of herbivores in maintaining ecosystem integrity at this year’s Territorios Pastoreados conference. I would like to extend my sincere thanks to the incredible team at Fundación Global Nature and in particular to Laura and Victoria for their trust and continued support. Grazing is more than a traditional livestock practice.

The Naturaleza Pastoreada project is a forward-looking initiative promoting innovation and knowledge exchange in grazing systems across farms in Castilla-La Mancha, Castilla y León, Navarra, Comunidad Valenciana, and Extremadura. Grazing, when linked to conservation could be a powerful ecological tool. It helps mitigate climate change, sustains biodiversity, revitalises rural areas, and brings food systems closer to balance.
