Last Thursday, 19 June, Josep Estruch successfully defended his outstanding doctoral thesis: “Lagovirus infections at the southern distribution edge of the European brown hare: Pathology, molecular diversity and population consequences.”
His dissertation provided valuable insights into the pathology, molecular diversity, and population consequences of lagovirus infections in European brown hares, contributing significantly to our understanding of wildlife diseases and their implications for conservation and management. Special congratulations also go to his supervisors, Carlos Rouco, Anna Lopes, and Roser Velarde, whose guidance and support helped bring this important research project to fruition.
We wish you every success in your scientific and professional endeavours.
