Our latest study shows that high densities of large herbivores can rapidly disrupt ecosystem integrity, affecting biodiversity, plant regeneration, pollination, soil structure, and even increasing the risk of disease vectors after just one year. These findings provide strong scientific evidence for the importance of sustainable wildlife management. This work was carried out within the INCREMENTO project and is the result of a broad international collaboration network that brings together researchers from Spain, Portugal, the Czech Republic, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
