I am a veterinarian with a great interest in the research of the zoonotic bacterium Leptospira spp. I find interesting the study of the animal species, including the wild ones, involved in the transmission and maintenance of some pathogenic serovars. My current project is focused on the epidemiological importance of domestic cats in the spread of Leptospira spp. This research will provide a little more insight into the epidemiology of the bacterium in Spain.
