I am biologist with interest on different disciplines. My research background embraces the study of evolutionary processes including speciation of vascular and non-vascular plants (bryophytes); composition, structure and dynamics of plant communities with special focus on riparian ones; conservation biology of threatened plants and communities including studies on demography and reproductive biology. I am also interested in plant-animal interactions (encompassing large herbivores, pollinators, birds) as a key process to understand the structure, dynamics, and functioning of ecosystems in scenarios of rapid and global change.
