I am a wildlife pathologist passionate about disease diagnostics and research in wild animals. I perform necropsies to uncover the causes of death, and I enjoy the challenge of solving the mystery behind each case. Because wildlife diseases can also affect domestic animals and human health, I actively collaborate on initiatives that engage rural communities in the early detection of infectious diseases. The complexity of my field requires multidisciplinary collaboration, which I find both enriching and essential to understanding the ecology and impact of pathogens. The research projects I contribute to aim not only to investigate the pathology of emerging and endemic pathogens in wildlife but also to explore the role of co-infections, environmental conditions, and multi-host dynamics in shaping disease patterns and outcomes.
