In this work, we summarise the records of southern chamois (Rupicapra p. pyrenaica) in the Montserrat massif. This Mediterranean montain is about 70km from the closest chamois population in the Cadí-Moixeró Natural Park. This interesting observation suggests that animals without migratory behaviours are able to colonize new environments, in particular, if physical barries and human infraestructures don’t limit their movements. Thanks to the Staff of the Direcció General d’Ecosistemes Forestals i Gestió del Medi and the Serveis Territorials de Barcelona for heir support and enthusiasm.
